Our Volunteers

Building on the national medical expertise of Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe, Johanniters international assistance concentrates on providing basic medical care to people living in disaster areas and particular disadvantaged region of the world. At the moment Johanniter are active in more than 20 countries worldwide.

Johanniter Disaster Relief International disaster relief entails providing quick help for victims and survivors of disasters – for the most part natural disasters such as earthquakes, storms, or floods. Johanniter international disaster relief includes assessing the damage and providing medical care for the affected population, as well as tents, food, and drinking water for the homeless. Team missions are time-bound, and usually last approximately 1-4 weeks.
