Vienna, Austria, 22. May 2017

On 22 May, Superhands started a campaign to draw attention on the 43,000 young people in Austria who constantly care for their relatives. The campaign includes TV and radio spots, as well as posters for schools. The spots and the posters were created by students of the Werbe Akademie in Vienna.

"Caring for parents is not a children's game" says the claim of the Superhands campaign. The 43,000 children and teenager who care about a family member in Austria are often left alone with the worries, stress and responsibility on their shoulders. "Superhands provides free and anonymous help and advices. The aim is to relieve the teenagers of their nursing tasks by providing useful and targeted information "says Anneliese Gottwald, care manager of Johanniter Austria, who launched Superhands five years ago.
