On 22-23 February, the three United Kingdom’s Priories (England, Scotland and Wales) along with the St John Associations from Cyprus, Gibraltar, Ireland, Northern Ireland and Malta met in Wales for the European St John Meeting of the Order. A special dinner hosted by the Prior for Wales took place on 22 February at the Cardiff and County Club to commemorate the visit.

The Lord Prior of the Order, Sir Malcolm Ross, and the Prelate of the Order, The Rt Revd Timothy Stevens, stayed during the weekend of 25-26 February to see at first hand the work of St John Cymru-Wales. On Saturday morning, they met members of staff and senior volunteers at the Operational Centre at Norbury Road in Cardiff. In the afternoon, they attended the Cardiff City vs Fulham football match and met a number of volunteers. In the evening, an Award Dinner took place at the Hilton Hotel with young members from all over Wales competing for the Cadets of the Year.

On Sunday, The Lord Prior attended a Church Service at St. John's Church Cardiff. In the afternoon, he presented awards to Cadets and Badgers at the National Youth Awards.
