Johanniter Finland makes recommendations on European 112 Day

Helsinki, Finland, 11. February 2018

On 11 February is celebrated the European 112 Day. 112 is the common emergency telephone number that can be dialed free of charge from any fixed or mobile telephone in order to reach emergency services (ambulance, fire and rescue, police) in numerous European countries, including all member countries of the European Union, as well as several other countries in the world. At this occasion, events take place to promote the existence and the appropriate use of the EU emergency number.

Johanniter Finland made recommendations on the European 112 Day. Our JOIN member suggested to check the condition of each fire-extinguishing and its batteries as well as the contents of each first aid kit. It also recalled that several applications can be used for smartphones to keep people and homes safe. In an emergency situation, the application notably provides comprehensive advice on first aid.
