The political and economic situation has destabilised. Zimbabwe is essentially a bankrupt state, the unemployment rate has risen to 80 percent, and the social situation of Zimbabwe’s population is deplorable.

The country’s food and medical supply may collapse at any time. No other country in the world has experienced such as drastic drop in life-expectancy – from 55 to 35 years in less than a decade.
