Founded in 2010, Johanniter Finland is the youngest member of JOIN. Its services include humanitarian aid and care for the elderly, sick and needy as well as first aid and CPR training. Its volunteers also provide care and relief work.

National Veterans Day celebration

Project

Johanniter Finland will participate in the National Veterans Day celebration by providing first aid and assistance to the veterans attending the event. This one-day event takes place in the city of Lahti. This is the last National Veterans Day celebration, which is part of the Finnish centennial independence year celebrations. The event will be attended by the President of Finlans, Mr Sauli Niinistö.

The Volunteer

Johanniter Finland invites volunteers from JOIN members to assist participants in the National Veterans Day.

Where?

Lahti (a city located about 100km northeast from Helsinki)

When?

On 27 April 2017.

Johanniter Finland suggests that the volunteers arrive on 26 April and stay until the 29 April.

Who can apply?

Volunteers with qualifications in first aid.

Other important information

Johanniter Finland shall arrange for local transport and help finding accomodation.
