On 29 July, Lukas Mohr from Johanniter in Berlin was involved with the "Cycle Responder" team of St John Ambulance in London. He cycled about 60 kilometers through the southern districts of the British capital with the aim to provide assistance to fallen riders during a cycling event.

Johanniter in Berlin has started to build up a ‘Cycle Responder’ unit beginning of 2018 and Lukas Mohr gained unique insights into the work of his British colleagues. Moreover, he could successfully test the new uniform of the Johanniter bicycle squadron thanks to the bad weather in London.

This was also an opportunity to build cooperation and raise friendship. It has been agreed that the new German ‘Cycle Respond’ team will support St John Ambulance during future events along the Thames while the British team will assist Johanniter in Berlin along the Spree.
