JOIN Board meeting in Brussels

On 11 October, the JOIN Board came together in Brussels for a regular Board meeting. Participants were JOIN Chairman Johannes Bucher (Johanniter Austria), JOIN Vice-Chairman Christian Velten-Jameson (Association des Œuvres de Saint-Jean), Mark Broughton (St John Ambulance England and The Islands) and Eric von Troil (Johanniter Finland). Hubertus von Puttkamer, Federal Board member of Johanniter Germany, also attended the meeting.

The day began with our Chairman reporting on the Alliance Orders meeting held in Versailles a few days ago. This was followed by comprehensive financial information by our Vice-Chairman

The JOIN Office gave a feedback on the working groups’ activities. Concerning the Volunteer Swap, 86 St John volunteers already participated in the program this year. An update was also provided on European project proposals recently submitted. The next proposal to be drafted is an Erasmus+ project about First Aid in Schools. All JOIN members are kindly invited to rejoin the consortium.

Finally, Hubertus von Puttkamer was co-opted to the Board until the next AGM elections in May 2019.
