From 27 to 28 May, the consortium of the iProcureSecurity project held its initial face-to-face meeting in Vienna. The team of the Austrian company SYNYO welcomed 18 participants from the nine partner organisations for two days of strategy planning and workshops to foster the response capacities and increasing cooperation of the European emergency medical services.
The first day started with an introduction of the project partners, staff members and an overview of the project structure. This was followed by presentations of the leader of each working package that showed their plan to analyse the European medical emergency systems, elaborate technical requirements for R&I initiatives and disseminate project outcomes. As the leader of the second working package, the JOIN Office provided detailed information on how it intends to involve stakeholders by drafting an engagement strategy and by identifying past and current related research projects.
On the second day, the meeting was dedicated to three working sessions in which all partners engaged in brainstorming and moved forth with their strategic planning. The JOIN Office led the first workshop on the engagement of stakeholders. The other working sessions let the partners discuss specific first steps to undertake in each working package.
The kick-off meeting facilitated the teamwork among the consortium and will be followed by conference calls every two weeks to ensure meeting the milestones.
