In a tribute to the lifesaving work of St John, numerous buildings across England lit up in green for St John’s Day. The Order of St John has celebrated the Feast of the Nativity of St John the Baptist either on, or on the weekend nearest to, 24 June. The Library of Birmingham went green “in recognition of St John’s fantastic work, especially during the current COVID-19 pandemic”.

The people of the city of Basildon transformed their actual town sign green in a tribute to St John.
