Related to the national medical expertise of Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe, Johanniters international assistance mostly provides basic medical care to people living in disaster areas and particular disadvantaged region of the world. At the moment Johanniter are active in more than 20 countries worldwide.
The international disaster relief of Johanniter entails providing quick help for victims and survivors of disasters – such as earthquakes, storms or floods. Our efforts include assessing the damage and providing medical care for the affected population, as well as tents, food, and drinking water. Team missions are time-bound, and usually last approximately 1-4 weeks.
