New Director of Johanniter International Assistance

Since 1st of December Susanne Wesemann is the new director of International Assistance at Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe. She took over from Wiebke Kessens and Magdalena Kilwing, who held this position provisionally since September 2018.

Susanne Wesemann brings with her many years of management experience in humanitarian aid. She holds a political science degree and worked four years as managing director of Handicap International Germany. Prior to that, she was active for Malteser International and the German Red Cross in various humanitarian aid projects.

"We are fortunate to have won Susanne Wesemann with her leadership expertise and her relevant experience in humanitarian aid," explains Hubertus v. Puttkamer, Member of the Federal Board of Johanniter-Unfall-Hilfe.

"I am looking forward to working with a competent and committed team to shape the strategic development of Johanniter International Assistance, especially through synergies with other Johanniter units and of course with international partners and networks," said Susanne Wesemann.
