Visiting patients at Johanniter-Krankenhaus permitted again
The ongoing decrease of the number of Covid 19 infections within the region and the increasing number of vaccinated people makes this step possible again, as desired by many patients: the strict ban on visits to the Johanniter Hospital in Stendal has now been lifted. Nevertheless, it is necessary to keep an eye on the persistent risk of infection.
Therefore, restricted visiting regulations apply with immediate effect. One visitor per day and room for half an hour at a time is permitted between 2.00 pm and 7.00 pm.
The prerequisite for access is either proof of recovery from COVID-19, proof of a complete vaccination (2 weeks after the 2nd vaccination), or a negative antigen test (rapid test) not older than 24 hours.
Registration takes place at the reception. Here, the admission requirements must be proven, and a registration form must be filled out. Furthermore, existing hygiene rules apply.
With around 800 employees, the Johanniter-Krankenhaus Genthin-Stendal is one of the most important health centres in the region. Approximately 50,000 patients are treated annually as inpatients and outpatients within our specialist hospital. Our doctors perform more than 8,000 operations a year. Around 400 beds are available.
As an academic teaching hospital of the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, we train doctors. At the same time, we run a nursing school. In addition, we offer training positions in other areas. A total of 80 trainees are currently learning with us. Our mission statement and our more than 150 years of hospital tradition in Stendal oblige us to use the most modern, best possible medicine and technology.
