In the evening of 24 June 2026, northwestern Venezuela was hit by a series of severe earthquakes measuring up to 7.5 on the Richter scale. Thousands of people were killed or injured, and more than 50,000 remain missing. Those affected urgently need help.
We are deploying an emergency medical response team to the affected area and working with a local partner to support people in emergency shelters.
In Latin America, we support people in the areas of health, securing livelihoods and with projects to strengthen the resources and skills of our partners.
