Strengthening Resilience
This is what it's all about:
The project supports conflict-affected communities in Syria to strengthen their well-being and resilience. The focus is on equitable access to clean water, basic healthcare and livelihoods. In addition, local organizations and women's initiatives are strengthened, innovative community projects are promoted and measures for peacebuilding and social cohesion are implemented. The aim is to sustainably improve living conditions and strengthen the population's ability to help themselves.

Examples of measures:
- Restoration and technical improvement of water supply systems
- Operation and equipping of a health center in Afrin
- Cash assistance for returning households
- Cash-for-work programs in the area of food processing
- Capacity building and coaching for local organizations
- Vocational training and support for women's initiatives
- Installation of early warning systems (e.g. sirens, weather stations)
- Implementation of hackathons to develop innovative community projects
- Production of 12 podcast episodes to promote peace and social cohesion
People we reach:
- 10,800 medical examinations/treatments
- 300 returning households receive cash assistance
- 200 women are mobilized, 100 receive vocational training
- 20 BAHAR & ORANGE employees receive further training
- 25 women from women's initiatives are empowered
- 20 Community-Based Local Actors (CBLAs) are being trained
