Urology Johanniter-Clinics
Urology is the field of medicine concerned with the treatment of diseases of the urinary tract and the male reproductive organs. The focus lies on the kidneys, ureters, urethra and bladder, as well as the prostate and male genitalia.
The Department of Urology of the Johanniter-Kliniken Bonn is currently divided between two sites: the Johanniter-Krankenhaus (Bonn Gronau) and the Waldkrankenhaus (Bad Godesberg). A merger of the two sites is planned for the end of 2026.
In case of emergency
Urological emergency patients are treated exclusively at the Waldkrankenhaus. You may present yourself at the local emergency department at any time, day or night. The on-call urologist can be contacted at the Waldkrankenhaus via the hospital switchboard at +49 228 383-0.
Johanniter-Krankenhaus site
The Johanniter-Krankenhaus specialises in robot-assisted (DaVinci) surgery, as well as surgical and pharmacological treatment of urological cancers.
The clinic is a certified prostate cancer centre (DKG) and part of the oncology centre (DKG-certified). Certification as a uro-oncological centre (kidney and bladder cancer) is planned for the end of 2026. In addition to standard pharmacological tumour therapies, we also offer participation in clinical trials.
Waldkrankenhaus site
At the Waldkrankenhaus, endoscopic and interventional urological procedures are carried out on the bladder, prostate and kidneys.
