Maternity Care Johanniter-Clinics Bonn
Welcome to the Maternity Department at Johanniter Hospital Bonn
This is us - our maternity ward (video in German)
On the following page, we would like to introduce you to our maternity department.
Our aim is to accompany you through the wonderful event of childbirth and to create a calm and supportive atmosphere. We want to help you experience your birth free from unnecessary fears, in a self-determined and active way. Individualised and family-centred care is very important to us.
In our maternity department, you can give birth from the completed 36th week of pregnancy (36+0 weeks). Optimal care for newborns is ensured by our specialised staff and close collaboration with the St Augustin Children’s Hospital. We offer single rooms, shared rooms and family rooms.
Even with the following indications, you can usually give birth with us – simply discuss these during your birth planning consultation or at the midwife’s clinic: dietary gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM), pregnancy-induced hypertension (PIH), history of gynaecological surgery (e.g., myomectomy, endometriosis, Caesarean section), bleeding and thrombosis tendencies, obesity, advanced maternal age, previous fertility treatment, anaemia, oligohydramnios, small for gestational age (SGA), and more.
