How to translate websites into your language

Would you like to read a website in your own language? No problem!
This simple guide shows you how to automatically translate foreign websites step by step – using Google Chrome, Safari, Microsoft Edge, or your mobile phone.
That way, you can easily read and understand important online information in your own language.

1. Open the foreign website in Chrome.
2. In the top right corner of the address bar, a Translate icon will appear.
3. Click it and select “Translate to English” (or any other language). If the translate icon doesn’t appear in the address bar, you can right-click anywhere on the page and select “Translate to English” (or another language). From there, you can choose your preferred language.
Done – the page will be translated instantly.

Tip: Right-click on the page → “Translate to …” also works.

The translation doesn’t appear?
Reload the page and make sure your browser is up to date.

Wrong language detected?
In the translation window, manually select the correct language.

Only part of the page is translated?
Pop-ups or embedded content sometimes cannot be translated automatically. Copy the text into an online translator if needed.

Accessibility:
For screen readers, the original language may be clearer. Use the original view when needed.

Security & Privacy:
Do not enter passwords or upload sensitive files on translated pages. Translation tools may send data to third parties.
